Christmas Thank You Letter [2010]

Smoky Mountain Ride In bikers,

This years as always the Christmas giveaway was such a heart warming event and a true blessing. Thanks to all of you who poured your hearts into this we were able to sponsor over 50 kids, plus give 24 families a Turkey to go along with their Christmas gifts.

The Christmas parade was a rainy cold mess, but despite the weather a lot of the community still came out to watch the parade and put toys in our sleigh as it went by. So we got a pretty good amount of toys considering the rain and chill factor.

The Smoky Mountain Ride in was the reason we were able to sponsor so many children. I know we will be making a lot of children and parents happy come Christmas day. I personally was thanked with heartfelt emotions and tears by several parents or grandparents. One parent called my cell and left a message after our giveaway, she was choking up as she was thanking us tremondously letting us know that she wished she could send each one of us a card personally, and tell us how grateful that she would be able to give her 2 kids a nice Christmas. I played the message for several of the people in the band who had volunteered their time to perform for us at our party and fundraising. I think we all shed some tears and felt blessed to be a part of such a great cause.

As you will see in the pictures of our party and fundraising benefit, a good time was had by all. We were also able to raise more toy donations and cash for toys for some children who have not been sponsored yet.

Our group would like to share the blessing with you, through these pictures that were captured of the true Christmas spirit. Please pass this along with a big THANK YOU!! from the Carolina Mountain Riders and we look so forward to the Smoky Mountain Ride in 2011.

There are about 6 different e-mails of pictures coming your way. Enjoy

Many thanks again,

Carolina Mountain Riders
